Piloting a spaceship at 25,000 mph? That controller used to maneuver it
better fit like a glove! At NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston,
engineer Heather Paul and astronaut Chris Cassidy put on spacesuits to
test out the next generation controller for the Orion spacecraft -
NASA's deep space vehicle that will take humans on the #JourneyToMars.
The testing is providing data teams will use to make any adjustments
needed to ensure future Orion crews can interact appropriately with the
spacecraft’s control system when they're inside their spacesuits during
deep space missions.
