Doug Litteken talk MARS.

Doug Litteken discusses the importance of using inflatable structures for a human mission to Mars and tackles some of the myths associated with these space vehicles.
Litteken is an engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center focusing on composite and inflatable lightweight structures for human rated space vehicles. He is a member of the JSC Speakers Bureau and enjoys sharing his excitement for space exploration with audiences of young and old.
Johnson Space Center’s talkMARS presentations do not follow the model of a typical technical briefing. These talks focus more on the “why” of a human mission to Mars and translate complicated technologies and ideas in an easy-to-understand format.
